Jumpin' on the Pumpkin Train

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Rum Cake

Holy September Batman! It's finally time for pumpkin!

We had the idea last year to add Pumpkin rum cake to our flavor list but it was too far into the holiday season and with just us 2 bakers, there was no time for test batches. In January, we set out to figure out our recipe and after just a few test batches we had our new recipe, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Rum Cake. Then I had to wait all the way until September to sell this delicious new flavor.

I'm a sucker for chocolate chips so we added traditional milk chocolate chips into the batter and its the perfect complement to the pumpkin spice. With rum in the batter and a dark rum glaze, this is the ultimate pumpkin dessert.

I thought I would really try to describe the flavor to you(food network style) so I sat down and opened a rum cake.

Pumpkin... cinnamon... ginger... cloves... nutmeg... chocolate... mmmmm......

Ummm, 6 bites later, all I can say is it's so freaking good, I'm not sharing.

If you've got a pumpkin lover in your family, look no further than our 5 oz rum cake for their stocking stuffer. Or treat your favorite clients with a 16 oz rum cake that the office can share. Make thanksgiving less stressful by ordering a 32 oz rum cake for your dessert. Just place it on a platter and you're ready to serve. For a little extra pizazz, sift some icing sugar over the top for that classic bundt holiday look.

As with all of our rum cakes, my husband and I like it heated in the oven and topped with vanilla ice cream. A la mode is 'a la life for me.

Our Pumpkin Chocolate Chip rum cake will be available through the holidays. SHOP HERE
